Demolition of the former West Mission Bay Drive Bridge superstructure, concrete deck, abutments and piers over the San Diego River. The work required careful review of as-builts and engineered demolition plans for acceptable safe work practices including means and methods. Many environmental and biological considerations in pre-planning and during the project were made for protection and preservation of the surrounding estuary, river and ocean.
