The Sutter Memorial Hospital located in Sacramento was the first maternity hospital in the West. Silverado was contracted directly by the owner to perform the asbestos abatement and structural demolition of 12 buildings. We accomplished the daunting task of identifying all the site MEP services and assessing the existing utility services for each space of the hospital rooms without the guidance of having accurate site utility plans. Through the help of MEP trades who historically worked on-site, we successfully identified all sources of power, gas, water and sewer services that needed to be safed-off and capped so we could perform the asbestos abatement, interior demolition and mass building demolition work in a safe environment.
