Seneca Reservoir was a 30-million-gallon open cut reservoir located in Oakland hills. It was out of use for multiple years before it was deemed to be demolished. The site was purchased from East Bay Municipal Utility District by Bishop O’Dowd high school, a neighboring private high school that had need for additional space. Silverado was contracted to be the General Contractor to decommission and demolish the Seneca Reservoir, including the removal of the reservoir roof and framing, metal rebar, and flooring liner; crush, recycle, and storing in- place all concrete material from columns, floors, slopes, walls, pipeline supports, and the overflow structure.
