This project involved the complete interior and structural demolition of an 8-story + basement hospital tower located in the middle of an occupied medical campus. Following the removal of the building, the site would be left as an open space without any new buildings being built. Silverado’s scope included universal waste removal, asbestos abatement, lead removal, and PCB abatement. Following completion of abatement and soft demolition, hard demo was to commence. Building slabs were post-tensioned, which required an engineered demolition and shoring plan which Silverado was able to provide.
