Silverado was contracted for the removal of (2) Pedestrian Bridges from an existing active parking structure from the MOB scheduled for complete demolition. The location of the bridge structures dictated the path of travel of each bridge. The bridges had to be removed prior to building demolition because their location was between a structure to be demolished (Former MOB) and structure to remain (parking structure). The upper bridge had to fly over the parking structure and land behind the positioned crane. The lower bridge was able to be picked and lowered directly in front of the crane. Each bridge was constructed of concrete and weighed approximately 30 TNS.
