Units 3, 4, 5, and 6 at the LADWP Haynes generating station consisted of natural gas-fired boilers and steam turbine generators built in the mid-1960s with a total net generating capacity of 1,120 MW. Silverado Contractors, Inc was responsible for the dismantlement, demolition, and removal of the four (4) decommissioned units. The steam turbine generators and associated equipment existed on and within a 60,000 square foot turbine deck, with a 40’ top deck elevation.
