Silverado Contractors recently completed the demolition and abatement phase for the Student Housing Phase 5 Project, marking a critical milestone in the development of modernized student accommodations. The project scope included the demolition and abatement of three vacant, three-story student housing buildings—Sycamore, Cypress, and Valencia—along with the removal of a maintenance building, basketball and volleyball courts, and surrounding site features. These buildings, totaling 133,000 square feet, had sat empty for approximately a year, becoming a magnet for vandalism and homeless encampments. Additional site improvements covered 50,000 square feet.
