The 30 Van Ness project was broken into two contracts. This project was comprised of a five-story building located in downtown San Francisco bounded by Market Street, Fell Street, and Van Ness Avenue. Silverado was contracted to abate and demolish the 5 story building and mass excavate to accommodate an underground parking garage and a new high-rise tower for mixed residential and commercial use. The building will rest on a 15-foot thick mat slab in the center of the building like a giant counterweight, to support the core of the building.
